Hello, hello! Today I have a big announcement to share: coming soon, Nettio Designs will be getting a new name, a new look and a new focus based on helping you take action on your creative goals.
That’s the key takeaway from this email but if you’d like to know more of the story, keep reading…
Five years ago this week, I shared my very first post on Nettio Designs.
It was the start of what would prove to be the most crazy, rewarding and at times frustrating adventure I’ve ever been on, full of high highs, low lows and plenty of lessons learned.
When I look back at the last five years, I am proud of all that I’ve done. From launching my own shop and selling at Sweet Shoppe Designs, to guest teaching and launching my own courses, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that this digital scrapbooking hobby I discovered at age 23 in the magazine aisle of a South Korean military base shop would still be a part of my life ten years later.
With that being said, it’s been clear to me for awhile now that I’ve outgrown Nettio Designs as a brand and a business. Before I had my son in 2014, I launched KickAss Scrapbooking thinking that might be the answer. But as the scrapbooking industry has shifted and even more so, my personal priorities have changed, it’s become clear to me that’s no longer the direction I want to go.
(Hint: don’t make major business decisions when you’re six months pregnant, hormonal and exhausted, haha.)
As with many things in life, sometimes you have to say goodbye to the past in order to move forward into the future and while it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to Nettio Designs, I’m crazy excited for what’s to come.
I’ll be sharing more details next week but in the meantime I wanted to share the mood board I created for the new website to give you a taste of what’s to come.
I admit, I’m a little nervous about sharing all of this! But I hope you’ll appreciate my honesty and thank you as always for being a part of my little corner of the web. I’ll be the first to admit I am figuring things out as I go but for me that’s half the fun. Hopefully for you it is too.
P.S. Skimmed down to the bottom? Here’s what you need to know. Nettio Designs is getting a new name, a new look and a new focus. More details will be coming soon.
